Accessible Exercise for People with Dementia and their Carers also known as Active Ageing Workshop, is a group session(s) which are aimed at getting carers & cared for exercising together. Exclusively for people with dementia and their carers.

The project plans to get unpaid carers and the person they support exercising together.
The workshops will inform carers of up-to-date techniques in working with dementia and how to help the person they support get the most out of every opportunity they are presented with.
The sessions will provide ways to motivate the cared for and make exercise fun using dementia friendly techniques which are practical in their daily lives.

Attendees will come away from each session with a worksheet that details the activities provided and build a portfolio of healthy games to use to keep mind and body active.

The workshop will run over an 8-week period with the first 4 sessions being more structured and the last 4 being games sessions. Unfortunately the first structured sessions have started however you are free to join the games session which start on 16th August and will run weekly for the next 4 weeks finishing on 6th September.
